It's time again for a rare appearance by the Swamp Root Jimmies: Samm Bennett on the words, the hoops and hollers, the 3-string guitar, the diddley bow, jaw harps and more, with Keigo Iwami on the standup bass and Naoya Numa on the hottest little drum kit you're likely to see. Their unique blend of roots-inspired songification and rollicking groove-based improvisation is sure to please all those who wanna catch a southbound train through the Waseda night. We'll be stopping 'round Memphis way, up through the Kentucky hills, swinging through New Orleans, then over to LA (Lower Alabama), with lots of other stops in between, so you better get on board, y'hear?
The venue, SABACO, is a fine little joint with a superb sound system: nice and warm and fat, just the way you like it! Only a 3 to 4 minute walk from exit 3B of Waseda Station on the Tozai Line. Doors open at 7:30, and there'll be sets a 8 and 9PM. Please come out and support live music from a truly unique Tokyo-based ensemble. Bound to please!
