Larry Teeはニューヨークを拠点に活躍するDJ、音楽プロデューサーであり、2001年、メディアの注目を集めて話題となった”エレクトロ・クラッシュ”の創 始者である。ニューヨークで開催されていたエレクトロ・クラッシュのフェスティバルなどは、Larry Teeが中心となっていた。

このジャンルは、よりアーティスティックでアンダーグラウンドな音を好み、それまでのエレクトロニック・ミュージックに対する反抗心から生まれたものである。
そのムーブメントに賛同していたバンドなどは、ニュー・ウェイヴやモダンアートからインスピレーションを得て、シンセサイザーを使ったポップサウンドを生み出し、従来の典型的なライブハウスなどではなく、アートギャラリーなどでライブを開催していた。

エ レクトロクラッシュのパイオニアとして、Larry TeeはRu Paul, Scissor Sisters, Fischerspooner, Peaches, W.I.T., Felix Da Housecat, 2 Many DJs/Soulwax, そしてAvenue Dなどのアーティストのキャリア構築に貢献した。Larry Teeは、Ru Paulの代表曲”Supermodel(You better Work)”を共同で創作し、映画『パーティー・モンスター』でも有名であり、90年代に実在したパーティーDisco 2000をスタート。毎週ROXYにてDJを行っていた。

つい最近ではLarry Teeのアーティストとして初のアルバム”Club Badd”をリリース。世界で最も強烈な個性を持つアーティストたち、Princess Superstar, Perez Hilton, Roxy Cottontail, Amanda LePore, Herve’, Sebastien Leger, Tomboy, Princess Julia, Christopher Just, Mel Merio, Jody Harsh, Jeffree Star, そして7歳にしてテレビの大スターであるAmanitaなどの面々をフィーチャーしている。

さらに、Larry TeeはKraftwerk, The Gorillaz, New Order, LCD Soundsystem, N*E*R*D, Chemical Brothers, The Cure, Katy Perry, Fatboy Slimなどとも共演している。

By definition Larry Tee is the father of Electroclash.
His early life included co-authoring RuPaul's anthem “Supermodel ( You Better Work ),”!he launched and named the infamous DISCO 2000 of Party Monstermovie fame, and, at one point, DJ'ed the ROXY weekly.

As for Larry Tee - the man – he has recently released his first artist album titled “Club Badd” featuring some of the world's most oversized personalities, including internet star Jeffree Star, and, conceivably, an introduction to the next new wave sound… Princess Superstar, Amanda LePore, and Roxy Cottontail, together with Larry Tee, all rising stars from New York, with heavy-hitting online exposure (over .5 million on Myspace Music).

In addition, Larry Tee has DJ'ed alongside major recording artists Kraftwerk, The Gorillaz, New Order, LCD Soundsystem, N*E*R*D, Chemical Brothers, The Cure, Katy Perry and Fatboy Slim, to name a few.
