The sixth day of MIMINOIMI, entitled "Time and Music," will feature SUGAI KEN, who researches and references Japanese folk cultures and combines them with futuristic sounds and field recordings in a very unique way, and Yumiko Morioka, who released "Resonance" on Ito Sho's label in 1987 (the work was reissued by Métron Records). She has since crossed borders into the world of world music and patisseries, will be invited to participate in this event.

SUGAI KEN's sound works have a strong sense of silence and pause, where our usual sense of time seems to be transformed, creating another time that cannot be easily described.

Yumiko Morioka, who studied under the minimalist composer John Adams, focuses on the repetition and transformation of sound within a certain period of time, and continues to transform the atmosphere and presence of a place into music (temporal art) by focusing on improvisation as a central form of expression.

Ambient music usually focuses on the relationship with space, but this program will return to the inseparable relationship between sound and time, and we hope to provide an opportunity to reconsider the "foundation of sound" as a starting point for a variety of experiments.

The background music on the same day will be provided by Takashi Nakazawa, who runs "Harunoame Cafe & Records". It introduces ambient music and other fascinating music that adds color to everyday life.

「時間と音楽」と題されたMIMINOIMI 6日目は、民俗文化を調査・参照し、それらを非常にユニークな形で近未来的な音の響きやフィールドレコーディングと融合させているSUGAI KENと、1987年に『Resonance』を伊藤詳のレーベルからリリースし（同作は2020年、Métron Recordsにより再発）、その後はワールドミュージックやパティシエの世界へと越境横断してきたYumiko Moriokaを招き開催されます。

SUGAI KENの音響作品は沈黙や間の存在感が強く、そこでは通常我々が感じている時間感覚が変容し、容易には形容できない別の時間を生み出しているようです。

Yumiko Moriokaはミニマリズムの作曲家John Adamsに師事しつつ、一定時間の中での音の反復と変容にフォーカスしつつ、即興演奏を表現の中心とすることで場所の空気感や気配を音楽（時間芸術）に変換するという活動を続けています。

アンビエントは、通常空間との関係が注目されますが、この日のプログラムでは音と時間は切っても切れない関係にあることに立ち返り、様々な実験への途端となる、「音の基盤」を再考する機会になれば幸いです。

なお、同日会場BGMを担当するのはアンビエントミュージックを中心に、日常を彩る魅力的な音楽を紹介するカフェ・レコードショップ「春の雨 cafe & records」を運営する中澤敬となります。
