“The dogs bark, but skramnication marches on”

“The dogs bark, but skramnication continues” is an Arabic proverb I like, though I don't know its exact meaning. But, for example, as I've said several times, you could think of it like this: “I, the dog, may bark, but thermodynamic skramnication marches on completely indifferent.” Or, as I've also said several times, you could think of it like this: “Even when the dogs bark, let us fearlessly advance skramnication.” Last year, in 2025, we held the first event, called #0.01, and this time we're holding it again as #0.02.

The trigger was that the Italian band VOTTO is coming to Japan, and I took over organizing one day of their tour from the band, but I intend to run it entirely as our own project. They were completely unknown, but since 3LA Distro handled their cassettes, some of you might remember them. Also, drone musician Rosapolvere is coming from Italy too, and they're apparently joining forces here in Japan. It's completely unpredictable, but that's part of the appeal. I'm hoping something strangely organic happens.

For the domestic bands, we approached Fu-Ya-Jyo and Never Confuse Loneliness With Isolation, who released a split, and it turned into a collaboration that feels like a record release party. Plus, Pale (post-black) and NiiK, who've officially added a vocalist and started their own booking, are bands that have really started moving energetically lately and seem to be gaining serious momentum. Like last time, it's a studio live style, but the stage will be set horizontally to minimize obstructed views for later arrivals. We'll enforce a no-smartphone-filming rule in the front row (though filming from behind is fine), and the live footage will be recorded by Director Shiraiwa. The feeling that we must start small remains unchanged from last time. You have to feel the heat here.

The event will start earlier. We plan to begin performances at 5:00 PM, with all acts finishing around 8:30 PM.

「犬は吠えるがskramnicationは進む」2/23(祝日) 3LA主催イベントあります。

"犬は吠えるがskramnicationは続く"というのは僕の好きなアラビアの諺で、正確な意味はよく知らない。だけど例えば僕が何回か言っているように"俺という犬は吠えるのだが熱力学的skramnicationは全く無頓着に進んでゆく"という風に考えることもできるし、また同じくらい何回か言っているように"犬たちが吠える時にも恐れずに僕たちはskramnicationを進めていくことにしよう"という風に考えることもできて、去年2025年に#0.01と称して1回目の企画を行い、今回は#0.02として再び開催することになりました。

きっかけイタリアのVOTTOというバンドが日本に来るのでそのツアーの1日をバンドから話を引き受けたものの、あくまで自分たちの企画としてやろうと思っています。彼らも全然無名でしたが、しかし3LAのディストロでカセットを取り扱っていたので覚えている方は、もしかしたらいるかもしれません。そして、イタリアから一緒にドローン奏者Rosapolvereもやってきて、この日本で合体するそうです。全く予想つかないけど、そういうのもありです。何か妙な有機現象が起こることを僕も望んでいるのです。

国内バンドはスプリットをリリースした不夜城とNever Confuse Loneliness With Isolationに打診しまして、まるでレコ発のような共演が実現しました。そしてポストブラックPale、NiiKも正式Voに加わり自主招聘も立ち上げるなど、ここに来て精力的に動き始めたバンドはめちゃ勢いづいていると思います。前回同様スタジオライブスタイルですが、ステージは横使いでなるべく後の人が見えづらいということが無いような形式にしつつ、最前列スマホ撮影禁止ルール(後ろからならOKよ)をしていて、ライブの映像は白岩監督によって記録される予定です。小さな場所から始めなければならない、という思いは前回から変わらず。ここにある熱を感じないといけない。

開催の時間帯は早めになります。17時から演奏を開始し、20:30頃には全ての演奏が終了するような形で想定しています。
