光分解 (Hikari Bunkai)'s debut album "8555" has been blowing minds since its release this April and you can now experience the full chaos live. One of the most exciting young bands in Tokyo right now, 光分解/Hikari Bunkai are playful and extraordinarily skilled musicians who draw from progressive rock and jazz as much as punk rock and weird pop, swapping instruments constantly onstage and incorporating improvisation that ensures no two sets are ever completely alike.
The band are backed by a packed lineup of equally off-kilter kindred spirits from the Tokyo indie and underground scene, with tunes in the upstairs bar provided by the good people of Call And Response Records.
Take the South exit of Nakano station and head straight up Nakano dori. Cross the intersection and keep heading straight. Pass a Royal Host, a Family Mart and a pizza shop, and you'll find Moonstep on your right.
