This project connects Berlin and Tokyo via 8K live video, simultaneously hosting experimental electronic music sessions by artists from both cities at the Goethe-Institut Tokyo and the Berlin Japan-Germany Center.

The Berlin-based electronic music duo, the Teichmann Brothers, are responsible for the composition and overall direction of the creative process. From Tokyo, shamisen player Yumiko Tanaka and voice artist/visual artist Ami Yamazaki will participate, performing alongside the Teichmann Brothers and flutist Susanne Fröhlich. Through this technology-driven international collaboration, we will explore new forms of creativity that transcend national borders.

By utilizing the latest immersive videoconferencing technology from the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, near-real-time communication across borders between Berlin and Tokyo will be made possible.

Visitors will be able to experience the creative process live during this session at the Goethe-Institut Tokyo. In Berlin, the public session will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (German time) at the German-Japanese Center, Saargemünder Straße 2, 14195 Berlin.
