Flute Cadences – Afternoon Concert
,

Rowland Sutherland (flute, from London) and MIYA (Sensor Augmented Flute) have been in dialogue through the flute for 15 years. Rowland presents, for the first time in Japan, two works from the repertoire he has performed with the African Concert Series in London — bridging Western classical music and African traditions. MIYA performs with Apeiron, a modular synthesiser living in an iPad, played by the breath and movement of the flute. Solos, and their first improvised duo.

Programme
Bongani Ndodana-Breen — Visions 1 & 2 for Solo Flute
Joshua Uzoigwe — Ilulu (Invocation) for Solo Flute
MIYA — Improvisation with Apeiron
Rowland Sutherland × MIYA — Improvised duo

Flute Cadences

"Something expressed various truth"

It is unfulfilled theme, but I think there is a ventilated world when the wall is broken through
