Sideways Here We Come promises to be an action packed night, as we are proud to be hosting Die Die Die for their last gig in Tokyo before they head down to Osaka for some takoyaki and to play a bit of music.

Die! Die! Die! is a three piece noise pop/punk band hailing from Dunedin, New Zealand. They formed in 2003 and pretty much haven't looked back. After playing gigs through out New Zealand and Australia, the band recorded their self-titled debut album with Steve Albini in 2005.
This was followed up by a series of international tours and the release of their second album 'Promises Promises' in 2007.Promises Promises proved to be a success, gaining 8/10 in reviews from the Guardian and NME.
The boy's hit the road again for more international tours and then headed back south to Dunedin to make a start on their most recent album 'Form'. Form was released by Flying Nun in July 2010.
Die! Die! Die! have toured and supported bands such as Wire, Pixies, Slint and The Blood Brothers.

2003年、ニュージーランドのダニーデンで結成されたトリオ、DIE! DIE! DIE!。2005年、NIRVANA、PIXESを手掛けたUSアンダーグラウンドの寵児、スティーヴ・アルビニのプロデュースによるデビュー・アルバム 『DIE! DIE! DIE!』

In support of the Kiwi trio, we have a bit of something for everyone in the way of an all genre line up of live acts, consisting of up and coming bands on the Tokyo music scene.

thatta:

Making the most of Japan’s musical environment, thatta’s influences run freely across music from the U.K. and the U.S. by the likes of madchester and 90’s U.S. alternative. Thus, thatta is a Japanese band that transcends the idioms of the Japanese scene.
With three synthesizers on stage being their trademark, thatta is known for their fearless and frenetic live performances, mainly playing in the Tokyo area with the odd music mission down to the Kansai region. The band also has plans to book a few tour dates in New Zealand for the end of the year.

Thatta have just release their first mini album 'Viva la Majority', which features crowd pleasing tracks such as
Penetration and San Francisco.

THEEE BAT:

A three piece garage fuzz rock band, who have been influenced by 50s/60s rock n roll. The band's inspiration can be linked to bands such as The Mummies, The Sonics The Headcoats and the 5,6,7,8s. They play regularly, at a variety of live houses around Tokyo such as Loft, Shinjuku Jam and Heavy Sick, which are home to a number of punk/garage rock events.

JEBIOTTO

The Watanabes:

The Watanabes are a Tokyo based indie rock band, with members from curvaceous island nations such as the UK, New Zealand and Japan, and other pretty places like Sweden. The band formed in 2005 in the orange-laden prefecture of Ehime, and two years later they packed up and shifted it to Tokyo, in search of new inspiration and regular trains.

The band has recently completed their second album 'You're Dancing I'm Absorbed'. The twelve tracks are a mixture of lively indie guitar pop and stripped back, dreamy folk. Favourites include 'Guilt', 'Concerned with You' and 'Ice Age'.
