…cassette player drones and kitchen sink psychedelia, sound ghosts hidden deep in the molten magnetic tapes.. always aiming for that mind-altering head trip…

Samuel Dunscombe (from Australia)
Originally trained as a contemporary classical clarinetist and an avid free improviser, he is also proficient in several programming environments for live audio digital signal processing, and has spent many hours taking field recordings in a wide range of locations – from the Amazon rainforest, the Mojave desert, Tasmanian old growth forests, to German train stations, US Air Force Bases, and English psychiatric hospitals, to name but a few.

IL GRANDE SILENZIO - Atsuo Ogawa + Minoru Sato
Within an extremely slow tempo, the raw sounds by banjo and self-built equipment by Il Grande Silenzio barely form a shape of music, like the soundtrack for silent characters in a monotone world. Il Grande Silenzio, the name taken from the title of a spaghetti western, is Minoru Sato and Atsuo Ogawa, both of which are working in the field of contemporary art.

Madoka Kouno
Born in Kanagawa. She first became interested in epistemology and perception while studying at university. In 2003, she completed a course on "Sound / Art Expression" at Bigakko, after which she began performance focused on perception and cognition. Currently she performs using empty tape-recorders, metronomes, metal plates, etc to catch variations in interference and distance/space.
