After enjoying your Hanami party, why don't you stop by the Foxhole jazz bar in Kichijoji for live Blues?
The first Saturday is the Blues jam night hosted by Musashino Juke Joint--one of the oldest Blues jams in town that has continued for 15 long years in the Kichijoji area. It's fun to participate and perform of course, but what is great about this jam is that, even if you are not a player/singer, you can still enjoy watching some of those excellent musicians. In fact, some of them are pros and semi-pros. If you feel like, say, dancing, you can dance too! (A Blues dancer is all right!)
It's only 500 yen to perform and free of charge just to watch. The atmosphere is very friendly and intimate. There are always a few people who speak English, so don't be shy! Please come out to this cool part of town to relax yourselves and enjoy live music over drinks. See you there!
It's only a few minute walk from the north exit of the Kichijoji station. When you go out of the north exit to the ground level, turn right, cross the big intersection right by the railroad track, keep walking straight right along the railroad track toward Nishi-Ogikubo, and you will see the Foxhole sign on the street on your left.

Getting to Foxhole: It's a quick and easy walk from JR Kichijoji station (Sobu/Chuo line). Just come out at the North exit (not the Park exit) - that's the one that faces the bus plaza. Then walk along the tracks in the direction of Nakano/Shinjuku. The tracks will be on your RIGHT side as you are walking. You'll first (immediately) cross the big two-way street, then it's just another four streets til the Foxhole, on the left side of the street. If you pass the 7-11, you've gone too far! The walk takes about 2 minutes.
