Saturday night! Blues fans out there, it's show time at the Foxhole in Kichijoji!!
This bi-monthly Blues jam called "Musashino Juke Joint" is into its 15th year. It's probably one of the oldest Blues jams in town. Each time we have dozens of Blues enthusiasts, and some of them are fantastic players. Actually, many regular players are so excellent and fun to watch we usually have quite a few watch-only customers including foreign tourists. The venue does not have guitars and basses, but if you don't bring your own gear, you can always borrow one from someone.
The venue is a funky jazz bar in cool "George Town" (Kichijoji) and the atmosphere is cozy and intimate. There are always at least a few people who speak English, so don't worry. Just come on over!
It's only a few minute walk from the Kichijoji station's North Exit. After getting out of the north exit, cross the big intersection on the right, take the small street right along the railroad track toward Shinjuku, walk straight for a few minutes, and the white Foxhole sign is on the left hand side. The venue is in the basement. See you there!

Getting to Foxhole: It's a quick and easy walk from JR Kichijoji station (Sobu/Chuo line). Just come out at the North exit (not the Park exit) - that's the one that faces the bus plaza. Then walk along the tracks in the direction of Nakano/Shinjuku. The tracks will be on your RIGHT side as you are walking. You'll first (immediately) cross the big two-way street, then it's just another four streets til the Foxhole, on the left side of the street. If you pass the 7-11, you've gone too far! The walk takes about 2 minutes.
