"Hino Koshiro plays Prototype Virginal Variations" in Tokyo

Known as the leading member of acts such as Goat and Bonanzas, Koshiro Hino (a.k.a. YPY) presents his new project "Hino Koshiro plays Prototype Virginal Variations" at VACANT in Harajuku, Tokyo.

First premiered at Osaka HOPKEN in last December and played to a full house, Hino's new project in Tokyo will be performed by a group of selected musicians from the Kansai region; Koshiro Hino himself, Tadahiro Ishihara (sax), Yuko Kureyama (syn), Takashi Hattori (syn), Takayuki Shimada (dr), Tetsushi Nishikawa (dr), Yuuki Nakagawa (cello), Tsutomu Motoyama (steel guitar) and more, joined by new additional members from Tokyo including Atsuhiko Ando [AKN] (sax) and others.

Opening the event, Shhhhh welcomes the audience with his free-style groovy DJ, followed by a performance by Mari Fukudome, a dancer who is mainly known as one half of the duo "Ho Ho-do".

A new project by Koshiro Hino (a.k.a. YPY) who spearheads bands such as Goat and Bonanzas.

With moments his unique approaches to rhythm and synthetic sounds mingle and come apart, Hino's first composition "Virginal Variations" is made up of several phases with different concepts. The piece is performed by a hybrid ensemble, which includes strings, horns, percussions, and electronic instruments, with selected musicians from the Kansai region; Koshiro Hino himself, Atsuhiko Ando (sax), Yuko Kureyama (syn), Tadahiro Ishihara (sax), Takashi Hattori (syb), Takayuki Shimada (dr), Yuuki Nakagawa (vc), and more, joined by new additional members from Tokyo.
