nariiki BIG BAND

I’m excited to announce a new 11 person big band version of my group “nariiki” on June 24, exactly one month from now! I’m even more excited and honored to be premiering a new work by my possibly favorite living musician, the pianist and composer Satoko Fujii. I will also be writing new material featuring more noise-based textural hybrids with a traditional jazz large ensemble. I’m happy to be working with some amazing Tokyo based musicians as well, it should be a unique show with some powerful sounds. Please come out to the funky, easily accessible Absolute Blue in Ikebukuro for a great night of new music!
