■Kazuhisa Uchihashi

A pioneering Japanese guitarist, Uchihashi is involved in a wide variety of musics, but still retains a commitment to free improvisation. Born in 1959 in Osaka, Uchihashi began to play the guitar at age 12, playing in various rock bands, though he later studied jazz music. In 1988 he joined the band the First Edition, and in 1990 formed the band Altered States. He was also a member of Otomo Yoshihide's Ground Zero from 1994 to 1997. Uchihashi also plays daxophone, and in addition to his role as a free improviser, Uchihashi has been the musical director for Osaka theatre group Ishinha, has held improvisation workshops (a project known as New Music Action) in various cities in Japan, as well as London, Oslo, and currently in Vienna also. Uchihashi has set up his own record label, Innocent Records a.k.a. Zenbei Records, had held a music festival annually since 1996 Festival BEYOND INNOCENCE.

■Koji Ota

Started his professional career in 1998 as a support member of Kuki Koudan.

In 2001, he performed at a music festival in New York as a member of SPOOZYS, and in 2005 he joined the Keiichi Sogabe BAND, touring more than 100 gigs a year.

In recent years, □□□ (Kuchiroro), Shigeru Suzuki, Anna Takeuchi, Koresawa, Riho Nishikata, Ami Sakaguchi, WatanaBaby, Moonriders' Ryomei Shirai's new band for instance, stico with Base Ball Bear Shiori Sekine, THE BASSONS by rapper Darth Rader.

He has participated in the REC of Kenji Sawada, and is active in a wide range of other genres regardless of generation.

■Yuma Takeshita

Yuma Takeshita was Born in Osaka, he began performing mainly at live music venues in the Kansai region around 2001. After moving to Tokyo in 2012, he started creating custom musical instruments. He has designed and built his own electric bass, the "Electrobass," which has multiple sensor modules attached. Additionally, he has developed multi-axis rotating speakers, and asynchronous instruments incorporating mechatronics, all of which he performs with solo and sessions. In recent years, he has been showcasing his creations in exhibitions, creating installations, and providing technical support to artists both in Japan and abroad.
