On this day, the event will take place at Koen, with a lineup that gently weaves together diverse musical practices—ranging from collective improvisation and ambient to gagaku and folk—allowing different sonic traditions to subtly resonate with one another.

The program features STONE MUSIC, a new project led by Tokio Hasegawa of the legendary Taj Mahal Travellers—whose recent release on ROOM40 remains vivid in listeners’ minds—formed in collaboration with a new generation of artists. Also appearing are Moskitoo, who has recently reactivated with Chihei Hatakeyama, one of Japan’s leading ambient artists; kishun, the duo of shō player Ko Ishikawa and gaku-biwa player Kahoru Nakamura; and Satomimagae, a singular ambient-folk artist set to release a new album this April via RVNG.

The lineup also includes iu takahashi, whose experimental sound performances are gaining increasing attention; Yaryu, whose freeform improvisations resonate deeply with ambient audiences; and Organic Drone Society, a drone collective born out of the group MIMINOIMI.

This day’s program creates a space where different sonic lineages and approaches flow into one another, forming a rich and resonant listening experience.
