Good Day Lads and Lasses, we are back with a very special Gamuso Live for you. Its debut month at Gamuso with 4 Gamuso Live Virgins for your ears to devour. Making their long awaited first appearance will be Grunge noisemakers Sunset Drive with able assistance being provided by a double fisting of punk from Android Beach Party and Quarter After One. To get you in the mood with his silky stylings shall be Tokyo legend, the one, the only David Whittaker.

Band Info
Sunset Drive is a three piece indie rock band from Tokyo, Japan. The members are 2 part Japanese to 1 part Kiwi. They released their first EP "It's All You" in 2008, and subsequently toured Europe playing in The UK, France, Poland and The Netherlands. In 2010 they released their second EP "We've Got To Talk" and then completed their first full Japan Tour, and again toured the UK, playing at The Great Escape and The Camden Crawl. Their style mixes together energetic indie rock fused with blues riffs and melodic vocals
ベース・ボーカルのAlastair、ギターのTosh、ドラムのシンタの本場ガレージロックの3ピース。AlastairとToshがニュージーランドで出会い、日本で結成。数人のドラマーを経てシンタが加入し、現在のラインナップに収まる。2008年6月に「it’s all you」でインディーズデビュー。その後ヨーロッパツアーを行ったりや都内にて自主企画イベントを行うなどの精力的な活動を行う。ホーム渋谷Ruby Roomでは飲んで騒いで楽しむライブをモットーに「Pub Rock Revival」を毎月第2土曜に開催中。

Originally hailing from Canada, Chickenlips started a new band in Tokyo. They created a sound based on the styles of Man or Astroman, Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, Satan's Pilgrims, and Tijuana Bibles.

In 2003 David began performing in the Hip Hop group Tricloptic Nerve as Sage Sensai(mc) with Name Basic(mc) and DJ Sonar.
Tricloptic Nerve traveled the Southeast US sharing the performance stage and opened for groups such as Mars Ill, Remnant, DeepSpace5, The Listener and Heath McNease.
In August, 2005 David moved to Tokyo, Japan and began performing simply as David Whitaker. Since moving into the Tokyo music scene he has shared the stage and worked with many talented local and international artists from many different genres such as FreeTransEnsemble, 3000 Worlds, The Life Penciled Crew, Kat McDowell, Ray Dorsey, Fubar Recordings, Kensho Kuma, Soul Betting Ground, Rhyming Gaijin .
David's voice can even be found on the Dragon Ash releases "Best of With Changes Vol.2"(2007) in the song "Wipe Your Eyes"
Also, on their 2010 single"Ambitious"
Hiroyuki Sawano's release "Musica" (07/2009) the song "Melancholia"
David hosted Open Mic Nights every Thursday at Shibuya's CoZmo's Cafe and Bar for 5 years
In addition to performing the music, David is also a live sound engineer, designer of graphics and jewelry, an English teacher, Missionary and much more.
The extent of what David now does goes far beyond just a single genre, thus David continues his quest to share Love through music, art and action.
