Tyler Eaton is an emerging bassist and composer. A native of
Visalia, California, Tyler studied Contrabass with Mark Dresser at the
University of California  San Diego from 2009-2012. Equally at home in
the worlds of jazz, classical, and contemporary music, in 2011 Tyler
performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival with the Chase Morrin Trio and
toured Japan. He has shared the stage with improvisational greats such
as George Lewis, Gerry Hemingway, and Anthony Davis. Before moving to
Japan in 2012, Tyler was Assistant Principal Bassist of the La Jolla
Symphony under the direction of Steven Schick and performed in Mexico
with Orquestra de Baja California.
