With their debut album Die Expedition ins O (2013) the Berlin based band Käptn Peng und die Tentakel von Delphi took Germany's alternative scene by storm in 2013. The indie quintet formed around uprising actor Robert Gwisdeck, who was nominated for his performance in Das Wochenende (2012) at the German Film Awards 2013. The band established their own label Kreismusik in 2012 to escape the commercial directives of the music business. Since then the nonconforming and purely self-managed creative
combo played themselves into the hearts of the German club scene and conquered all major festivals. Accompanied by pans, cans, hammers, mixer, guitar, and double bass, Robert challenges the audience with subversive, highly ironic and philosophical lyrics and those who get lost on the way still shake theirs heads
to the addictive beats.
In December 2013 Goethe-Institut Tokyo, DAAD and The Japanese-German Society invite Käptn Peng und die Tentakel von Delphi to Japan to give young Japanese a glimpse of the latest hit phenomena in Berlin culture and enjoy their enchanting melodic mayhem. Don´t miss your chance to experience the hit quintet of intellectual insanity LIVE on Stage!
