BOTOM'S UP

Yozo Ohe (dr)・Yosei Minamino (p)・Yasu Takeda (b)

Yozo Ohe(dr)

JAZZ drummer.
Since 2003, he has been active mainly in Tokyo.
Specializing in black jazz in the 1940s and 60s.
Studied under Toru Takahashi DS.

Notable co-stars JAZZMEN:
Akira Omorias Norio Maeda PF Nao Takeuchi as Kazunori Sawada as Akiha Nakajima as Mei Inoue GT Raymond McMorlin TS Junko Koike PF Kusui Itsuki BS Koji Yasuda BS Yoshiaki Okayasu GT Yoshimasa Otsuka BS Toru Yasubo TS Hironi Ota PF Yoshinoko Kitajima PF Masayo Koki as Yuya Wakai PF Shinichiro Imamura PF Shingo Kano PF Ryoki Fukushiro TS Aya Takazawa TP Herman Mehari TP and many others

At the age of 18, he became obsessed with Bebop, the gold standard of black jazz, and started playing drums. I didn't go to music college, but through trial and error in the field and learning from records, I was able to embody the aesthetics of SWING and JAZZ.

Yosei Minamino(p)

Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1965.
Graduated from Yokohama Municipal Minato High School. At the age of 17, he made his debut as an organist in a hard rock band (professional) and at Shibuya Eggman, Shinjuku Ashibe, Yokohama Shell Garden, etc. Later, at the recommendation of Cassiopeia Minoru Mukaiya, he switched to piano at the age of 19. He spent about two years at Kanagawa University's Jazz Research Institute. At the age of 21, he worked as a lounge pianist at a hotel in Yokohama, the Takaaki Miyanokami Group, the Masahito Imazu Band, and the Kazuo Nakamichi Trio, before performing at the Honmoku Jazz Festival and the Jazz Promenade. Keio Plaza The Hotel, Bison Katayama Trio and Takashi Oi Band will perform a nationwide tour in 2004 and 5. He is currently active mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area. It is based on bop and hard bop, but has established its own style under the influence of many jazzmen. Mainly played standards. Only the recent phrases are not just fake looks, but a full-fledged school that swings properly.

Yasu Takeda (b)

Jazz bassist. In the summer of 1988, he moved to the United States and enrolled at New Shcool. Studied with George Mraz, Cecil McBee and others. Since 1991, he has been studying composition and arrangement with Jimmy Heath and Roland Hana in the master's program at Queens College, graduating in 1993.
