AKIKO NAKANISHI (tr) 

Born in Sakata City, Yamagata Prefecture

From a young age, he admired Louis Armstrong in the movie "Five Copper Coins" and started playing the trumpet.
Studied with Naoki Inoue, principal player of the Yamagata Symphony Orchestra, studied classical music at
Senzoku Gakuen College of Music (Junior College), but was shocked when she heard "Tomonoao Hara & Masahiko Osaka QUINTET" while still in school.

After graduation, she went on to a jazz course. Studied under Tomonao Hara. After repeated sessions while still in school, I went to Yamagata.
(Unit with Kaori Sugata) in "Lady Yamaneko"

Jozenji JAZZ FESTIVAL NHK special stage appearance, etc., mainly in Tohoku. After that, she moved his base to Kanto.

2007 Performed as a leader band at the Yamagata International Jazz Festival
2009 Grand Prize at the Yokohama Jazz Promenade Competition (Takuji Yamada QUINTET)

She has performed with many musicians, participated in school art performances by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, and is active in a wide range of activities, from combos to big bands

Since 2019, she has been involved in music education as a part-time lecturer at Senzoku College of Music (Jazz & American Music Course).
